Built for the Canadian Government Railways as No. 472, Canadian National 4-6-2 No. 5094 was a 1918 product of Montreal Locomotive Works. These engines of class J-4-c developed 34,000 pounds of tractive effort and weighed 249,000 pounds. Their boiler pressure was 205 p.s.i., and they had 22x28-inch cylinders and 69-inch drivers. The date, location and photographer are unknown. No. 5094 met the torch in 1960.
