Canadian National Mikado No. 3422 was a member of class S-1-f, erected in 1913 by the American Locomotive Company's Montreal works for the Grand Trunk Railway as No. 517. Dimensions of this class were similar to those of other classes in the S-1 series. However, they weighed 283,000 pounds, had a boiler pressure of 175 p.s.i., and produced 51,637 pounds of tractive effort. The location is Stratford, Ontario in this September 5, 1958 view from the camera of David Leonard. No. 3422 was scrapped early in 1960.
