B&O "Big Six" No. 6195 is pictured at New Castle, Pennsylvania on April 17, 1941. A member of class S-1a, No. 6195 came from Lima Locomotive Works in 1926. As the B&O dieselized in the early 1950s, all remaining steam locomotives were renumbered below 1000, with the "Big Sixes" assigned to the 500 range. However, No. 6195 was retired in 1954 before the renumbering. The photo is attributed to Joseph Schick of Keenesburg, Colorado.
