Carl Weber provided this image of B&M class S-1b 2-10-2 No. 3023 which an unknown photographer snapped at Rigby Yard near Portland, Maine on September 29, 1941. The engine appears freshly shopped and repainted. The S-1b class came from ALCo's Schenectady Works in 1923 with specifications similar to those of the S-1a class described for No. 3015, but weighing less at 372,100 pounds. The small inboard-journal trailing wheel seems inappropriate for the beefy look of the rest of the engine
