From the collection of Wayne Koch comes this image of class B-10v 0-6-0 switcher No. 6703. She was delivered in 1912 by Almerican Locomotive Company's Pittsburgh works as No. 603, and received her second and final number in 1936. Engines of this class exerted 33,140 pounds of tractive force and weighed 170,000 pounds. With 57-inch drivers, they developed 180 p.s.i. of boiler pressure and had cylinder dimensions of 21x28 inches. This photo was snapped in 1951 at the NYC's terminal in Harmon, New York, shortly before No. 6703 was retired; she went to the salvager in 1952.
