Joining the parade of eastbound varnish near Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on an August 1960 morning, Pennsylvania Railroad GG-1 4926 appears in this black-and-white shot by my brother. Click here for my color transparency taken at the same time. Built by the PRR's shops in 1946, this unit carried its number into Penn Central, and then became Amtrak 921, later 4921 before being retired and scrapped.
