Baldwin Locomotive Works' entry into the road freight diesel market was the DR 4-4-1500 model; the early version was known as the "baby face" while the later, better known, version was the famous "shark nose" style. The New York Central had four A and two B "baby face" units. I photographed A units 3800-3801 at Pittsfield, Massachusetts, in August 1955.
