Chinese QJ 2-10-2 No. 6988 leads a steam triple-header into Bureau Junction, Illinois on the Iowa Interstate Railroad during a September 16, 2006 run from the Quad Cities. The lead engine was followed by QJ 7081 and Milwaukee Road 4-8-4 No. 261. The Chinese locomotives were imported by Rail Development Corporation, owner of the Iowa Interstate, with a view to reselling them to tourist operations in North America. Today they are owned by the Central States Steam Preservation Association. Photo by Richard Leonard
