Carl Weber provided this photo of Milwaukee Road 4-6-4 No. 6410 (later 135) taken on October 1, 1932, only a few years after it was built. Compare this view with the later image of No. 135 and note the boiler-tube pilot, spoked drivers, and centered bell, all doubtless original features of the F-6 class. Note also the absence of the Mars light and air horn. A distinctive feature of the class was the outside-journal pilot truck; the extended smokebox hints at the presence of the Coffin feedwater heater.
