Maine Central Consolidation No. 519 appears here at Livermore Falls, Maine, in October 1948, in a view from the collection of Carl Weber. No. 519 belonged to class W-1, delivered in 1913 by American Locomotive Company. These engines had 63-inch drivers, cylinder dimensions of 23x28 inches, and 185 p.s.i. of boiler pressure. They weighed 198,000 pounds minus tender, and developed 37,000 pounds of tractive effort. Other specifications appear in the following commentary for No. 523.
