Illinois Central 0-8-0 No. 3568 came from Lima Locomotive Works in 1929, and unlike many IC engines it kept its number until retirement in 1957. It had 53-inch drivers, 25x28-inch cylinders, and 175 p.s.i. of boiler pressure. Weighing 221,500 pounds, it developed 49,115 pounds of tractive effort.
