Thirty-nine Pacific (4-6-2) type locomotives of class G1 were erected by the Canadian Pacific shops and by Montreal Locomotive Works between 1906 and 1914. They had 75-inch drivers, 22½x28-inch cylinders, and 200 pounds of boiler pressure. With these dimensions they mustered about 32,100 pounds of tractive effort. In this view from the collection of Ed Emery of Toronto we see No. 2220 at Tilbury, Ontario sometime in the 1950s. Tom Rock of T.D.R. Productions contributed this image.
