Canadian National 4-8-4 No. 6237 appears here in a transparency taken at Windsor, Ontario. The U-2 class had 84 square feet of grate area, 4220 square feet of evaporative heating surface, and 1760 square feet of superheater surface. The date and photographer are unspecified, but the image comes to this Random Steam Collection through the good offices of Tom Rock of T.D.R. Productions. Six locomotives of the U-2 class are extant, but no members of the U-2-h group have been preserved.
