Representing the Canadian National's S-1-f class of Mikados is No. 3457, shown switching at Merriton, Ontario on June 6, 1951. This engine was the former Grand Trunk No. 552. Specifications for this subclass were similar to those outlined for No. 3367 of class S-1-d, with a slightly lower boiler pressure of 175 pounds per square inch and a higher locomotive weight of 283,000 pounds.
