0-8-0 switcher No. 7271, shown here in her former identity as No. 9541 of New York Central subsidiary Toledo & Ohio Central, belonged to class U1a, delivered by Alco in 1913. She shared the 58-inch drivers of the system's class U1, U2, U4, U33 and U61 0-8-0 engines. Her group of U1a locomotives had a boiler pressure of 200 pounds per square inch and cylinder dimensions of 25x30 inches, and exerted 54,960 pounds of tractive force. Members of class U1a weighed 239,500 pounds. Her photo was snapped at an engine terminal in Toledo on July 17, 1933 by an unidentified photographer.
