William D. Volkmer supplied this view of Mohawk No. 2758 of class L-2a, snapped by K. E. Schlachter at Harmon, New York. The date is October 1932, before the NYC transitioned from the Roman lettering to the "Century Gothic" in 1940. The 1936 system renumbering was also several years off, but like many other members of the L-2 class No. 2758 was to keep its original number. Retirement and scrapping came in 1953.
