Chicago City Railways, a component of the Chicago Surface Lines, built this steeplecab unit numbered L202 in 1908. It was used to switch the CSL repair shops and material handling yards, and continued in the same duties for successor Chicago Transit Authority which rebuilt it in 1958. Today it is part of the collection of the Fox River Trolley Museum at South Elgin, Illinois, where I took this transparency on June 24, 1989.
